Ahura Support is a registered charitable trust committed to building a safe, inclusive and empowering space for differently abled individuals. Founded in 2006 from a deeply personal need, Ahura Support began as a small circle of families looking for connection and understanding. Today, we are a vibrant support system offering lifelong care, therapy and purpose to adults with developmental and intellectual challenges.
What we do
Our work centres around two dedicated spaces: the Vocational Training and Day Care Centre and the Ahura Support Residential Home (ASRH).
At the Day Care Centre, our beneficiaries participate in therapy-based activities, skill-building workshops and meaningful social interactions. These routines are designed to nurture confidence, creativity and a sense of belonging. They are also trained in creating products which are rhen exhibited and sold.
At ASRH, we provide round-the-clock residential care in a clean, warm and loving environment. With trained caregivers and immediate access to medical care, families find peace of mind knowing their loved ones are safe, happy and respected.
We also support parents and caregivers through counselling, parent support groups, awareness, sensitisation and inclusivity programmes that aim to shift perceptions and build a more inclusive world.
